RUSH: 'Snakes & Arrows' Debuts At No. 3 On Billboard Chart
May 9, 2007RUSH's latest album, "Snakes & Arrows", has sold just under 93,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's last studio set, 2002's "Vapor Trails", began at No. 6 with 108,000. All told, the new set is the act's 27th album to reach The Billboard 200, according to Billboard.com. Its highest charting effort remains 1993's "Counterparts", which debuted and peaked at No. 2.
"Snakes & Arrows" is the Canadian band's first new collection of original material in nearly five years. RUSH — Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart — will trumpet the release of "Snakes & Arrows" with a full-scale 48-city North American amphitheater tour, the renowned trio's first since 2004's "An Evening With Rush: 30th Anniversary Tour". The tour begins mid-June and is slated to traverse the continent through the summer.
